Enquiries submitted through my website are sent directly to me by email and deleted from the web host’s server as soon as they have been delivered. I retain the information you have sent me in order to respond to your enquiry.

If we work together, I keep your name, mobile telephone number and email address stored on my mobile ‘phone which links to my desktop computer; both are password protected. My desktop computer has a firewall and the operating system is regularly updated. I use the information solely to contact you about our sessions together. I do not share it with anyone else and I do not circulate newsletters.
I take personal details during an initial assessment which might include your personal history, family history, medication and GP’s details. This assessment form and the brief handwritten notes I take in subsequent sessions are anonymised and stored securely. No client notes are left in my office.

I share your first name and details of our work during regular clinical supervision which is part of good practice and is mandatory to maintain my accreditation with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

I keep notes for seven years or as directed by my professional insurance company which is currently Balens. After this time I destroy them. I will not use your data/artworks for writing, publishing, research or training purposes.

You have a right to ask to see the information I hold about you and to change any information which you consider to be incorrect. You can request that I delete the information I hold although I am required by my insurance company to keep notes.

If you have a complaint regarding the use of your personal data, please contact me directly. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) via their website https://ico.org.uk/ or call 0303 1231113.
